Sports games

Table sports for two on one screen. Each player gets their own end of the table, you both play at the same time, and the first to the winning score takes the game. No one to play with? The computer is ready at four levels, from Easy to Expert.

How playing on one screen works

Hold the phone upright between you, or lay it flat on a table. The player at the bottom uses the bottom half of the screen and the player at the top uses the top half, so both of you can move at once. Each player's score faces them, so nobody has to read upside down. On a tablet or laptop the table turns sideways, and you take the left and right halves instead.

On a keyboard, the left player uses W A S D and the right player uses the arrow keys. Against the computer, either set of keys moves your bat or mallet, and with a mouse it simply follows your pointer.

A computer that plays like a person

In sports games the computer has the same limits you do. It watches the ball or the puck, takes a moment to react, and its bat or mallet has a top speed. Higher levels react sooner, judge better where the ball is going and hit harder, but they never get any extra help. Easy is gentle enough for young children, and Expert is a real test for anyone.
